Gary Kapanowski understands that the key to business excellent is a solid foundation based on education. He worked hard to gain valuable knowledge beginning with his admission into college. As a first generation college student, Gary Kapanowski had to fight harder than most to have success in his undergraduate college program at University of Michigan. He graduated with high scores, which allowed him to continue his education in graduate school at Michigan State University. Gary Kapanowski’s hard work paid off, and he was accepted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an exclusive organization that is only available to the top 20% achieving students. By achieving such a high level of academic success, Gary Kapanowski was already on his way to a successful business career, but he kept pushing to gain additional credentials, later he would receive certificates in Lean Six Sigma in both Green and Black belts.
Gary Kapanowski received his first Lean Six Sigma certification from Lawrence Technical University for Basic Lean Manufacturing, Lean Office, Lean Problem Solving Tools, and Statistical Process Control in 2012. After additional study, Gary Kapanowski was certified in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt in 2013. Gary Kapanowski also took the time to study for a Project Management Professional certification.
Hard work and continuing education is extremely important to Gary Kapanowski. He believes in keeping skills current and relevant. In addition to focusing on his own abilities, he takes time out to help others as a tutor. Acting as a tutor to adult students, he develops lesson plans for adults to improve their reading, math, writing, and English language skills.
